New Apple Product Soon?

Sources are reporting that Steve Jobs and the Apple team are planning on making a huge announcement on September 1 in San Francisco. The subject of the announcement is anyone's guess at this point.

Here are 3 of the more prominent rumors regarding the subject of the announcement.

1. Apple is instituting a new "cloud-based music service" that will allow you to stream music wirelessly from your Apple devices.

2. A brand new iPod that will make the iPod touch look like a Walkman.

3. A new, sleeker AppleTV, with more storage and easier functionality.

This news came as a huge surprise to me, and I therefore have no clue what Steve Jobs could be planning to announce. I am hoping for improvements to Itunes.

Twilight actor, Peter Facinelli, has been voted "Worst Vampire" by Rolling Stone critic Peter Travers.

Peter Travers wrote the following

Facinelli is a solid actor, but playing Carlisle Cullen, the white-haired head of the fang-challenged Cullen vampire family, he looks about as terrifying as Project Runway winner Austin Scarlett, whom Carlisle closely resembles.

Linkin Park's Video Premiere

The legendary rock band, Linkin Park, debuted their new single, The Catalyst, earlier this summer, and now we have the video to match. The Catalyst is the first single off of their new album, A Thousand Suns, which is set to be released on September 14, 2010. The song is already a big hit at radio, and I imagine that the video will boost the single to new heights.

The season finale of The Wendy Williams Show aired today throughout the country. The show featured former talk show host Ricki Lake and rapper T.I. As we all know, The Wendy Williams Show has been renewed through 2012 so far. I am so happy for Wendy and her staff. I have followed her career since the radio years and will continue to watch and enjoy.

The Wendy Williams Show will return on July 12,2010. I will be there, and hopefully you will too.

New Moon continues to impress

It seems that New Moon is still breaking records at the box office. The film is now the highest grossing film ever over the Thanksgiving weekend. Exactly how much did the twilight sequel bring in during it's second week? And astounding 66 million dollars. That's right, 66 million in it's second week. That brings the film's total to $230.7 million.

That is amazing! Most films loose their appeal after the first week, but it is evident that this one hasn't and won't for quite a while.

I'll be honest with you. I saw New Moon the day it was released and was not that impressed with it. Don't get me wrong, I thought it was good, just not great. I still feel like Kristan Stewart is a horrible Bella. I still feel like the movie looks cheap. And I still feel like they drifted away from the novel way too much. With that said, I would still recommend it to anyone

It seems like forever since my last post, and that most likely because it has been forever. My life has changed a lot since I was last here. First of all, I am not a proud student at Louisiana Tech University. College is such a good experience for me; I have made lots of new friends, I have started to look forward to the start of a new day, and most of all, I have found a lot more confidence in myself. Well I guess college is the only thing about me that has changed, it's just that there are a lot of things that have come with it. So anyway, you can expect more entertaining blog posts from me in the near future. That is all!

Mariah Carey's video for her latest single, Obsessed, premiered this past week. In case you didn't know, the song serves as a response to an Eminem song called Bagpipes from Baghdad. In his song, Eminem basically says that they dated and that Nick dosen't deserve Mariah.

In her song, Mariah basically says that they never dated, She called Eminem confused and delusional. It is a very catchy song and is doing quite well on the charts(currently it is at number 11.)

Mariah's new album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, will be out August 21, 2009.

Last year the Queen of all Media, Wendy Williams, made her television debut in four markets. This served as a test run so to speak. The Wendy Williams Show passed the test and was picked up for a full season.

The show premiered this past Monday in national syndication(and Bet.) The feedback has been great so far and I think this show is going to be a huge hit. Wendy Williams is different from all the other talk show hosts because she is not afraid to say things that may be a little left field. I adore her and watch everyday. Check your local listings for times.

Guiding Light comes to an end

The longest running television drama in history is coming to an abrupt end. Guiding Light, which started out as a 15 minute radio show, will air its final epsode on September 18.

Guiding Light has been on the air for 72 years. Recently the ratings have declined drastically, it is currently the lowest rated soap opera on tv.

I personally wonder what does the future hold for soap operas. Now that CBS has canceled Guiding Light has been canceled, there will only be 7 daytime dramas on the air. I think this is sad, I enjoy soap operas. Passions was always my favorite. Anyway, I hope CBS takes Guiding Light out with a bang. The final epsode needs to be something that will be remembered bu Guiding Light fans forever.

It has been forever since I have made a post, and for that I am extremely sorry. I have been very caught up and busy with life. I got my first job this past October, after I got it I continued to make post, but they were scarce; after that I just all together stopped. Well, I am ready to begin again. I love blogging, I love informing the world about the nothingness of the entertainment industry. I may not have the time to post as much as I would like to, but I will make sure I keep you informed. Bob May has died

Actor Bob May who is famous for staring in "Lost in Space" passed away this morning at about 3 a.m. at the Lancaster Community Hospital in California. A rep for bob said that Bob May had been taken to the hospital on Friday. he died of congestive heart failure.

Bob's long time friend and agent, "Asks all his fans to take a moment of silence as one of Science Fiction's greatest has passed. Family and friends will miss him dearly."

He was 69 years of age.

The Real World: Brooklyn

Have any of you guys been watching The Real World Brooklyn? I certainly hope so because if not, you are surly missing out. I think this is one of the best casts in a very long time. My favorite cast member is JD; JD is an openly gay dolphin trainer who has been through a LOT during his life.

There is a lot of diversity in the cast, there is a trans gender woman named Katelynn, there is a very religions guy named Chet, there is a guy that was in the Army named Ryan. This list goes on, like I said, I love this cast. This time instead of 7 people, there are 8.

The Real World: Brooklyn airs on Wednesday nights on MTV.

I Saw Twilight

I went today to see Twilight. I was so excited, I was sure that it was going to be a masterpiece, a total and complete work of are, but I was a little disappointed. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad, it just wasn't all that great.It seemed very slow to me.

Twilight had its moments. I promise you, there were scenes that made me want to cry because they were so touching. The filmmakers got the love part right, but there was something missing. Anyway, I think you should go and see it. You won't be blown away, but you'll like it.

By the way, the film is already breaking records at the box office.

Also, Edward and the rest of the Cullens are so amazingly sexy. OMG I wanted to cry from looking at him.

The show's co-creator is optimistic about the future of Mad Tv, saying that he believes that it could work on a cable network.

As of now, the final epsode of Mad Tv will air in May.

I personally think that it's time for Mad Tv to come to an end, its run its course.

I Listened to The Wendy Wendy Williams Experience today

Well I listened to The Wendy Williams Experience today and it was not what I expected. I thought that she was going to be bitter, I thought the atmosphere would be tense, and I just expected a lot of other bad stuff. When I tuned in, I found just the opposite, its pretty much just the same, except for all the breaks(i'll talk about that later). Wendy dosen't seem to be affected by all the drama going on with her show(in case you don't know, her entire staff was fired.)

The only bad thing is all the breaks, its like as soon as she starts talking, she has to go into a commercial break(or play a song). I know she hates that, and I also know the fans do.

I hope you guys remember that her talk show will be back next summer on Fox. Also, I hope you guys will support Wendy Williams in anything else she decides to do.

As all Wendy Williams fans know, the radio show hasn't been the same over the past few months. There are way too many commercial breaks, way too much music, and the show itself just seems different.

Well, it has finally happened. Apparently, the entire staff at The Wendy Williams Experience has been fired, except Wendy. And yes, that includes Charlamagne da God.

Also, the word is the Wendy's contract will not be renewed in 2009.

Wendy will be fine, lets not forget that Fox picked up her talk show for a full season(it will premiere in July of 2009.) I think WBLS should be ashamed of themselves, how could they do this to the person that kept that station afloat.

Ellen's comments on the passing of Prop. 8

After learning that Prop. 8 had passed in California, Ellen DeGeneres had the following to say.

Watching the returns on election night was an amazing experience. Barack Obama is our new president. Change is here. I, like millions of Americans, felt like we had taken a giant step towards equality. We were watching history.

This morning, when it was clear that Proposition 8 had passed in California, I can’t explain the feeling I had. I was saddened beyond belief. Here we just had a giant step towards equality and then on the very next day, we took a giant step away.

I believe one day a 'ban on gay marriage' will sound totally ridiculous. In the meantime, I will continue to speak out for equality for all of us.

I want to say to you guys that we all need to keep our heads up. I won't lie to you guys, I was outraged when I first heard that Prop. 8 had been passed. I was overwhelmed with so many emotions. I was sure that voters would vote for equality, but instead, they made a choice that sets this country back a million steps. We may have lost this particular battle, but we have not lost the way. The best is still waiting for all of us. I mean, look at our new president, no one thought that we would ever have a black president, but we do now. I know that it now seems like there is no light at the end of the tunnel, but trust me, there is.

I also want to urge all of you to fight. We need to make sure that we make this world a better place for ourselves, as well as for future generations. We need to push for a gay history month because there is so much about our history that the world dosen't know. We need to push for more equality on our school, I feel like teachers don't respect us at all. Most of all, we need to find a way to educate young kids about what it means to accept people and to be a productive member of society, this is the only way we are going to start to tare down hate.

Ellen Degeneres recently updated her official blog. She had a lot to say, and I am so happy she is saying it. People need to understand that gay people are people too and that we deserve the same rights as everyone else.

Hey everybody. There’re only a couple weeks left before we vote. In California there’s a proposition that’s trying to take away my right to be married. And if it passes, my marriage will probably no longer be valid.

The supporters of Proposition 8 have raised more than $25 million just to discriminate against same-sex couples who want to get married. That’s a lot of money.

I can think of 25 million other uses for all that money:

- How about paying teachers more?
- What about helping those people who just lost their homes in the recent fires?
- How about buying a pony for every child in California? How much fun would that be?!

Don’t let them convince you that discrimination is okay just because they can pay for a commercial. It’s wrong. Please vote NO ON PROPOSITION 8! I’m begging you. If you vote no on Prop 8, I’ll buy you a pony.

Brandy was recently in Columbia doing some promo stuff. While she was there, she played her new single, Long Distance, for her fans. Long Distance is rumored to hit radio on Oct. 15.

Long Distance is a ballad, produced by Rodney Jerkins.

Also, Brandy's new album, Human, has been pushed back to December 9. This is understandable because her first single, Right Here(Departed), is sort of an inspirational song, and it always takes those longer to get really big. Don't fret Brandy fans, Right Here(Departed) is not a failure, it's just not as big as it could be; it is currently at number 23 on the billboard R&B and Hip Hop charts.

Travis Barker barker is now speaking out about the horrible plane crash that he was involved in. As we all know, he was burned severely.

When asked about the crash itself he said:

I hate planes. My biggest fear ever is to be involved in a plane crash, so when that happened … well, I'm just thankful to be alive! I'm just grateful to be here at all.

When asked about his injuries, he said:

I am doing the best I can possibly be. I'm so anxious to get out of here. …I've just been in surgery after surgery. I have third degree burns basically from my feet up to my waist and both hands. One of my hands was second degree burns and one was third degree burns. I'm trying to have a quick recovery and play the drums again and be able to hold my kids again. [Barker has two children, Landon, 5, and Alabama, 2, with Shanna Moakler.] I'm going nuts not being able to see them and spend time with them!

When asked about his recovery process, he said:

I need protein from food rather than just protein supplements. I changed my diet. I would do anything I possibly could if they said like, 'There's a possibility you might heal faster if you do eat meat or just change your eating habits.' So I did. I don't regret it at all, I feel so much better.

Im glad he is doing better and I hope he gets over his fear of planes. I love Travis, he seems like a really nice guys.

Michelle Williams, from Destiny's Child, is dropping her new album tomorrow. The album is called Unexpected. A few of you guys, and I do mean a few, have had the pleasure of enjoying her latest single, We Break the Dawn.

We Break the Dawn is a great song, but no one cares enough about Michelle to make it a hit. I really feel bad for this girl, she is very talented, but she will never be known as anything else but "that girl from Destiny's Child". When will this industry become kinder to people with talent.

Have you guys been watching Gary Unmarried(staring Jay Mohr?) I have, and I have very mixed feelings about it.

I think it's pretty entertaining, but there seems to be too much going on to really enjoy it. Gary has recently gotten a divorce, his ex-wife is dating their former marriage councilor, he is dating a younger woman, etc... There is just too much to focus on, but the show does have it's good points.

Even though I sort of like Gary Unmarried, I still question how long it will last. Its not really on of those shows that I can see lasting a long time. Personally, I would rather see him come back to Ghost Whisperer.

If you are 18 years of age or older, you have the right to express you opinion, and you do that by going to the polls in November and casting you vote(if you are registered.) This country is in turmoil and we need a president that can get us out of it. It is my hope that you guys will make a choice based on your personal opinions/needs as well as the needs of everyone else. I will be voting for Obama because I think this country needs more gay rights, it needs a president that can make better economic choices, and it needs a CHANGE.

Trouble with Hannah Montana

Tmz is saying that Miley and Billy Ray Cyrus want to end their contract with Disney for Hannah Montana. TMZ's spies have said that Miley and Billy Ray are intentionally starting a war on the set by showing up late, fighting with cast and crew, etc. All of this to get fired. Emily Osment, who plays Lilly Truscott, used to be best friends with Miley, but now she turns and walks away after each scene.

The word is that Billy Ray has been saying that he and Miley will do 12 more episodes and that's it, but Disney is insisting that the two will not only finish the 24 episode season, but they will also do six additional episodes.

This almost always happens, a person gets a show, they become famous, and then they think they are too famous to continue that show. Miley needs to realize that Disney catapulted her to success and that her music career is not going to last forever. I would not bump heads with Disney because there will always be Disney movies(and they are always so successful.) But anyway, I guess we will be witnessing a war of words in the upcoming days.

Travis Barker and Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein clinging to life

Travis Barker and Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein were both in a horrible plane crash last night. Both guys are in very critical condition with extensive burns. Travis was burned from the waist down and is expected to survive. DJ AM's face was severely burned and he is currently being tended to. In this plane crash, there were four fatalities(two passengers and two crew members.)

The National Transportation Safety Board said the following:

Right now it's not clear what happened, but the plane was taking off from a private airport in South Carolina when all of a sudden it burst into flames.

These two guys are in my prayers. I know this has to be hard on their families.

As I predicted earlier, TRL is almost done. The announcement has been made that the last episode of TRL will air on a Saturday afternoon in November.

I knew that this was going to happen. First they put it on earlier in the day, then they cut the days down, now... this. The show itself lacked the luster that it once had.

I wish MTV would get it together, they can't put on a good awards show to save their lives, they can't make a show last, and most of all, they don't play ANY MUSIC.

Anyway, the final episode of TRL will air in November. I hope they go out with a bang(Brandy needs to perform.)

Lifetime rolled out the red carpet on Saturday for the premier of Coco Chanel. I watched it and I thought it was great. It was very interesting and I think they did a great job bring Coco's story to the screen.

Right after the movie went off, there was another special presentation of it. Also, there was another showing of it on Sunday.

I have never been that big on Lifetime, but their new stuff has been really good so maybe I am now a new fan.

TRL-What happened?

Remember when TRL was all anyone talked about? All the teens used to rush home after school to catch it, but now, not so much. Its only on 3 days out of a week now and comes on very early in the day. I think MTV's next step will be to end it all together, and maybe that won't be such a bad idea.

Brandy will be on TRL this coming Wednesday, make sure you watch(this will be my first time watching in years.)

R&B singer Avant is back with a new single and album. The single is out now and it's called When It Hurts. The self titled album will be out on October 28.

I like the song, but I don't know if it's modern enough to be successful. I will say this, Avant is a good singer and one of the few real artists that we have left.

2008 seems to be the year of realness, Brandy is back, Avant is back, Joe is back, and Monica is getting of of her back and coming back LOL.
